A Nashville kindergarten class spent their field trip visiting a Habitat for Humanity build site.
The Ensworth kindergarten class brought buckets and crayons and participated in a variety of activities including helping move gravel to fill the sidewalks.
The students were part of the Penny Project at the school which collected more than $600 in pennies for Habitat.
They also drew pictures of what the home would look like once finished.
Organizers said Wednesday’s trip was a chance for the students to learn to give back.
The children took a tour inside the home, and wrote their names on the frame’s 2x4s.
