NASHVILLE, Tenn. – A suspect has been taken into custody in connection with a bizarre carjacking in Antioch.
Officials with Metro police said Kenneth Ferguson is one of two men who intentionally hit a woman’s vehicle and then stole her car. The carjacking happened at an apartment complex on Bell Road back on August 20.
According to police, Ferguson and another man followed the 42-year-old victim from Walmart to her home. The two allegedly staged the wreck and robbed the woman when she got out to look at the damage.
They were also able to get away with her Chrysler 300. The car was recovered last week in south Nashville.
Ferguson was arrested and charged with robbery and carjacking. He also has previous convictions for aggravated burglary and drug possession.
His bond was set at $75,000.
Authorities said they are still searching for the second suspect.
Anyone with information was asked to call Crime Stoppers at 74-CRIME.
