Metro Police have arrested a woman involved in a violent robbery and assault of a cab driver last night.
Marissa Pellerin, was picked up by a NashVegas cab off Old Hickory Blvd and requested to be taken to the Wash Tub Coin Laundry in Donelson. However, when the driver arrived at the destination, things took a turn for the worse.
Upon parking, Pellerin attacked the driver, jumping on him from the passenger's seat. From outside of the car, a man opened the driver's door and pulled the victim out of the cab and to the ground. A second man then ran out of the laundromat and all three people began to attack the cab driver, punching and kicking him.
They stole $120 and the driver's wedding ring before fleeing down Murfreesboro Pike.
Pellerin was later located by police. During the arrest, meth was found on Simpson's person, along with marijuana and drug paraphernalia in the car she and her accomplices fled in.
Pellerin was later positively identified by the victim.
