ASHLAND CITY, Tenn. - Police in Cheatham County have been looking for a gunman who robbed a gas station in the early morning hours.
The robbery happened around 1 a.m. Sunday at a Shell station just off Interstate 40 at the Kingston Springs/Ashland City exit.
Police said a white man wearing a hoodie and gloves walked in to use the restroom.
According to officials, when the robber came out of the restroom he grabbed the clerk, stuck a gun in his rib cage, and demanded money from the register.
After the clerk handed over cash, the gunman forced him to the ground and fled on foot.
Anyone with information on this crime has been urged to contact police.
