NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Police said several people drove off in a work truck while the workers were cleaning out a rental property.
Officers said the workers went to tie up a basketball hoop when the people living in the home on Lauren Evelyn Way told them if the workers took the hoop, they would take the truck.
That’s when the suspects jumped into the truck along with one of the victims and drove away.
Authorities said the suspects stopped a short time later and fled on foot.
The vehicle was recovered, and the investigation was ongoing.
