One person was hospitalized after an SUV ran off the road, bounced off a tree and a rock and slammed into a park trailer in a Nashville front yard.

The trailer then toppled over and hit the homeowner’s van. The SUV came to a stop just feet away from the home’s front door.

The crash happened around 3 a.m. Monday near the intersection of Fairlane Drive and Packard Drive in the Hickory Glade neighborhood.

One female inside the SUV was transported to the hospital. The extent of her injuries was unknown. Another person in the vehicle was not injured.

It was not clear which occupant was the driver.

The vehicle caused some damage to the porch of the home.

The homeowner was shaken up when he woke to a loud bang in his yard, but was not injured.

He came outside and found the SUV had crashed into his trailer. He said the trailer was parked in the front yard while he was doing some renovations to the home.

Officials with the Metro Nashville Police Department said it was unclear why the SUV ran off the road.
Investigators were working to determine exactly what happened and if any charges or citations would be issued.
