CROSSVILLE, Tenn. (WTVF) — A suspect has been taken into custody after two deadly incidents in Cumberland County.
The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation confirmed the first was reported Tuesday on Critter Creek Road in Crossville. At 6 p.m., someone called 911 to report what he believed was a body.
Deputies responded and found a male victim outside the home, dead from an apparent homicide.
His name was not released, pending family notification.
The TBI said an earlier statement indicated he may have been shot but that may not be the case. An autopsy would be performed to determine the cause of death.
In a second incident, three people were shot at 10 p.m. at a home on Vandever Road. One person, identified as 24-year-old Makayla Manning, died at the scene. A man and woman were injured and taken to hospitals in Knoxville.
The TBI said the suspect is being held for questioning.
