A suspect was arrested after an officer-involved shooting. He allegedly led deputies in Lawrence County on a chase.
District Attorney Brent Cooper said officers tried to stop a driver, who was wanted on suspicion of selling drugs.
He allegedly revved the engine and apparently drove right toward two deputies who had guns drawn commanding him to stop.
The driver missed the officers, who fired toward the vehicle, but none of the shots hit the victim. That's when officers chased after the suspect and eventually caught him.
One officer suffered minor injuries during a scuffle while taking the man into custody. That officer was sent to the hospital.
The suspect suffered cuts and scratches. His name has not yet been released, DA Cooper said he will be charged with two counts of attempted murder.
