NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WTVF) — Crews with the Tennessee Department of Transportation have begun repairing potholes that emerged in Middle and West Tennessee following last week's winter storm.

TDOT said crews will be using a cold mix asphalt to fill the potholes for now. The department said it may be spring or early summer before more permanent repairs are made with a hot mix of asphalt.

Drivers are being warned of possible traffic delays in areas where crews are working. TDOT said crews will focus on performing repairs during off-peak travel times, but some lane closures could last through the late afternoon, evening and weekends.

The department has an online form where drivers can report potholes on interstates and state highways. Click here to fill out the form.
