TDOT Completes I-65 Widening Project

Posted

Officials with the Tennessee Department of Transportation held a ribbon cutting ceremony for an I-65 widening project in Williamson County that has been completed.

Crews have been working on the roadway from 840 to the Peytonsville Road overpass.

The $50 million widening project included a new bridge, that was damaged after construction in this tanker fire back in 2014.

Leaders said it was a project that was worth the wait.
Even with the rebuilding of the bridge, the construction project finished on time for the original project completion date.

The Peytonsville Road Bridge was made into a 10-lane bridge, and I-65 was widened from two to four lanes.
