Officials with the Tennessee Department of Transportation announced Friday that the Fast Fix 8 project has been completed.
Crews finished the $62 million project finished under budget and seven months ahead of schedule.
It repaired bridges along I-40 that were deteriorating. Crews rehabbed a total of four roads and eight bridges in just ten weekend closures around the city.
TDOT officials said most of the bridges were nearly 50 years old.
