The Tennessee Department of Transportation has started a summer-long weekend resurfacing project.
The work will begin this weekend on the I-65 Trinity Lane bridge.
Drivers were advised to expect delays and heavy traffic since some lanes will be closed.
"We really encourage local traffic to use alternate routes like Ellington Parkway and Briley Parkway and that will really help with congestion issues."
The project was set for all summer except big weekends like the Music City Marathon and CMA Fest.
