WASHINGTON D.C. (WTVF) — U.S. Representative from East Tennessee Chuck Fleischmann has shared he has tested positive for COVID-19.
In a statement, the Republican representative shared that he began quarantining Wednesday night, after a Congressional member he lives with tested positive.
Fleischmann said he "currently feels okay" and is working remotely.
"I again, want to urge all Americans to continue to wear masks, practice proper hygiene and follow CDC guidance as we work to combat COVID-19," Fleischmann said in the statement.
Fleischmann represents Tennessee's third district, including Chattanooga and Oak Ridge.
