Tennessee first lady Maria Lee diagnosed with lymphoma

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WTVF) — Tennessee's first lady Maria Lee has been diagnosed with cancer.

Gov. Bill Lee announced early Friday morning that Maria has been diagnosed with lymphoma and will begin treatment immediately.

"Maria and I deeply appreciate prayers for healing. We are hopeful and will share more in the days ahead."

The governor said her prognosis is favorable and the lymphoma is treatable.
