NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WTVF) — The State of Tennessee is offering assistance to those on the front lines of the COVID-19 pandemic. Essential workers have the option to send their child to a Boys and Girls Club or YMCA program this summer for free.
The Tennessee Department of Human Services said they will help parents pay for their child attending a TDHS licensed daycare through this pandemic. The program is available through June 15.
In addition to grocery store workers, people in the health care industry, first responders, postal workers, and transportation workers are among those who can apply.
