NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WTVF) — The State of Tennessee is offering assistance to those on the front lines of the COVID-19 pandemic. Essential workers have the option to send their child to a Boys and Girls Club or YMCA program this summer for free.

The Tennessee Department of Human Services said they will help parents pay for their child attending a TDHS licensed daycare through this pandemic. The program is available ‪through June 15.‬

In addition to grocery store workers, people in the health care industry, first responders, postal workers, and transportation workers are among those who can apply.
