MURFREESBORO, Tenn. (WTVF) — A third resident of the Boulevard Terrace Rehabilitation & Nursing Center in Murfreesboro has died from complications of COVID-19.

The facility spokesperson, Craig Workman, said in a press release the facility now has total of six employees who have tested positive for the virus. All are recovering at home. The two workers who are the most recent to test positive have reportedly not worked at the facility since April 20.

He says 34 residents have tested positive, three of which have died. Seven of the residents that have tested positive are being treated in the hospital and the rest remain in isolation on site. All residents at Boulevard Terrace have now been tested for COVID-19.

Workman said the facility has been closed to outside visitors since March 17 and has been screening all residents three times daily for coronavirus symptoms.

All employees are screened prior to entering the building at the beginning of each work shift. All group activities have been cancelled, although one-on-one daily activities with staff continue.
