Thousands Served At Annual 'Bridge To Christmas'

Posted

Thousands of Nashville’s homeless and under privileged families were given food and gifts at the annual Bridge to Christmas event under the Jefferson Street bridge.

Volunteers from The Bridge Inc. and several other churches and businesses handed out everything from more than 300 pounds of food to many wrapped Christmas gifts at Tuesday’s event.

There was a special area for kids called Toy Land, where they were given gifts and visited with Santa Claus.

Volunteers shared the Christmas store during a candlelight service with a message and Christmas songs.

The Bridge Inc. is a weekly outreach that takes place each Tuesday evening at 6 PM under the Jefferson Street bridge in downtown Nashville, TN. The Bridge has been in existence since 2004
