A Sergeant with the Tennessee Highway Patrol died from his injuries he sustained from a motorcycle crash over the weekend in Dickson.
Sergeant Allan Brenneis was on a ride in Dickson Saturday morning when the motorcycle in front of him had to stop short to avoid a previous crash.
Yet, Brenneis wasn't able to slow down in time. He was airlifted to the hospital in critical condition, where he later died from his injuries.

The driver and passenger of the other motorcycle, Roy and Jennifer Neiderwerfer, were also hurt.
The crash remained under investigation by THP.
