Animal control officers stumbled upon a meth lab while trying to issue a pet citation in Lebanon.
Officials with the Lebanon Police Department said officers visited a home on Roanoke Drive. When someone answered the door officers said they were overcome by a strong chemical smell.
The smell was so strong that one officer developed a headache the other, chest pains.
Police were called to the scene where they found materials to make methamphetamine.
Officers arrested 32-year-old Andrew Skaalerud, 27-year-old Audria Estes, and 35-year-old Milton Putnam.
All of them were transported to Wilson County Jail, and will face drug and other related charges.
