NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WTVF) — TnAchieves is still in need of 2,700 mentors across the state before the deadline next month for the TN Promise program.
The program aims to make sure each Tennessee student has access to higher education. A mentor's role includes reminding students of important deadlines, serving as a trusted college resource and encouraging students to reach their full potential.
Mentors will have a time commitment of about one hour per month. Due to the pandemic, volunteer mentors can serve their community from home through a virtual mentoring platform called tnAchieves CONNECT.
