Tennessee congressman, Rep. Scott DesJarlais, was among a handful of Republicans who huddled with candidate Donald Trump in Washington Monday.
Trump was in town touring his new hotel and speaking to an important pro-Israel political action group.
Before that speech, Trump met with key GOP leaders on Capitol Hill, trying to unite support before this summer's convention including DesJarliais.
"I think he has the clearest path to the nomination, and it only makes sense to unify the party and get behind him,” he said.
Later, Trump spoke at The American Israel Public Affairs Committee conference. It was a key stop for candidates hoping to win support from a big block of voters.
Tuesday, Arizona, Idaho, and Utah hold primaries or caucuses.
