Tennessee state Senator Mae Beavers said she would love to see the state's whole delegation to the Republican National Convention vote for Donald Trump.
That is if the delegates for Texas Senator Ted Cruz and Florida Senator Marco Rubio are released from their obligation to vote for those candidates.
Beavers, of Mt. Juliet, was elected as the chairwoman of the delegation and a Trump delegate. She said it would be in the interest of party unity to support the presumptive presidential nominee.
Nashville attorney and Cruz delegate, Charlie Cato, said some people are trying to stir up enthusiasm to nominate Cruz but he doesn't see a repeat of Monday, when some anti-Trump delegates disrupted the convention.
He joked, "I had about all the democracy I could stand yesterday."
