Essence and Forbes magazines named Vanderbilt University and the University of Tennessee as two of the top schools in the country.

The list was compiled by Money and Essence magazines, which analyzed over 1,5000 institutions before making their picks.
Forbes ranked UT as one of the top 20 places to work in higher education in the country.
Among all businesses across 25 industries, UT placed 83rd - ranking them the first SEC school on the list.
Forbes worked with an online statistics program to make their selections.
Other businesses that made the list behind UT included Walt Disney Parks and Resorts and Coca-Cola.
