Tourists hit Lower Broadway honky tonks on Thanksgiving

While many people took the day off for Thanksgiving, those on Lower Broadway were thankful for country music and the places that decided to stay open.

Some of the Honky Tonks were closed, but a number of others were open Thanksgiving like Nashville Underground and Robert's Western World.

Many people are here to visit family. Others are here on vacation, but they're all thankful to enjoy the downtown Nashville experience.

"We're gonna join in the festivities in having Thanksgiving dinner at our hotel today, later on this evening and everybody's really friendly and in the Thanksgiving spirit," said tourist Mary Smith.

You can bet all the Honky Tonks will be back open Friday, but just don't count on any Black Friday deals on beer.
