How to end the incarceration of women and girls across the country was the focus of a town hall meeting in Nashville.
The non-profit Free Hearts hosted the event on Saturday. The organization is led by formerly incarcerated women.
Attendees and advocates talked about criminal justice reform and solutions for how to reduce and end incarcerations.
Similar town hall meetings were held Saturday in 19 other cities, including New York and Los Angeles.
Ideas and solutions from all cities will be released in a report at a national conference in Tulsa, Oklahoma in September.
