NASHVILLE, Tenn. - Dean Diver has been set to appear in court early in 2016 after being charged with killing rookie officer Michael Petrina last year.
Diver was charged with reckless homicide and failure to yield after hitting Petrina on Interstate 65 in May 2014.
Authorities said Diver did not obey the Move Over Law, and that led to Petrina's death.
Diver's trial has been set to begin January 11.
