NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WTVF) — No serious injuries were reported after a pickup truck crashed into the front of a law office in East Nashville. No one was inside at the time.
Sky 5 flew over the scene at Kaalberg Law, PLLC, which is located on Forrest Avenue, shortly after the crash happened just before 7 a.m. Monday.
"I was sleeping, my bedroom is about 25 feet away from that side of the house," said neighbor Sara Fotopulos, "so I heard this crash and I heard tinkling glass and I didn’t know where it was coming from and then finally saw it when I looked outside my window."
Fotopulos says she's used to traffic going up and down the alley, but this was a first.
"I came out and then pretty soon the policemen came with flashing lights and everything," Fotopulos said," I'm glad I don't live directly across from the alley."
The driver of the vehicle told police that his brakes failed. Removing the truck caused the roof to collapse.
Remarkably the driver of this red pickup truck is up and walking after crashing into this house in East Nashville. Driver told police his brakes failed. @NC5_Sky5HD captured the porch collapsing on the truck. Looks like no one was in the house. @nc5 pic.twitter.com/hJRT5Bs58x
