A semi-truck full of honey bees was abandoned for a short time along Harding Place off of I-24 in Nashville.
The driver told NewsChannel 5 the truck was left on the road overnight because of a mechanical problem.
He was driving from North Dakota to Fort Pierce, Florida, but his drive line went out forcing him to park the truck behind the Thrifty Inn and find help.
A mechanic worked on the truck while NewsChannel 5 talked to the driver who hoped to be on his way soon.
Many of the bees died because of the breakdown, but the vast majority of them will make it to their new home in Sunny Florida.
