MURFREESBORO, Tenn. (WTVF) — Two residents were displaced due to a house fire that occurred in Murfreesboro this weekend.
Murfreesboro Fire Rescue Department responded to a three story house fire on Banner Drive around 6:30 a.m. on Sunday.
Battalion Chief Tim Swann said the fire was located in the garage and crews were able to complete the initial knockdown of the fire within the first 10 to 15 minutes of arriving at the scene.
Swann went on to say that the garage is a total loss but that the rest of the home only received smoke damage throughout.
A routine investigation is being conducted to determine to cause of the fire.
