NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WTVF) — Thousands of people were at an outdoor party in North Nashville when shots were fired and everyone went ducking for cover.
However, police said no one had a permit and the crowd did not have permission to be there.
Despite that, people going to the event event dubbed "HennyFest" gathered in Hadley Park for about five hours.
Around 8:15 p.m., police rushed over to the park to check out a shots fired call.
Officers said a large crowd between 1,500 and 2,000 people were there for the event.
Two people with gunshot wounds were found in a parking lot on 28th Avenue North. A man and a woman were taken to a hospital and are expected to be OK.
HennyFest may have been over when the shooting happened, according to a Twitter account that did a lot of advertising for the party.
Police said the people injured in the shooting will not be charged with trespassing.
