Two Suspects Arrested For Spraying Franklin Neighborhood With Airsoft Pellets

FRANKLIN, Tenn. – Franklin police arrested two people after they sprayed a crowd in the Westhaven Subdivision with airsoft pellets.

Police were called to Westhaven's’s basketball courts Friday night around 9:20 p.m. Witnesses told police the airsoft pellets had been fired from a car passing by.

The suspects was stopped a short time later and arrested.

The driver, 18-year-old Caleb Starnes, and his juvenile passenger were both charged with four counts of Aggravated Assault and four counts of Reckless Endangerment.

Starnes posted bond and is now out of jail. He is also charged with contributing to the delinquency of a minor. Starnes is due back in court on August 6th.

Four juveniles were struck by airsoft pellets during the incident.

None of them were seriously injured.
