NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WTVF) — Two 17-year-old brothers were arrested by Juvenile Crime Task Force officers with Metro Nashville police Thursday night for gun possession and vehicle theft.

The officers were investigating a pickup truck that was stolen from a Mossdale Drive home Monday. They found the truck parked outside of a Willow Trace Court home, and asked the boys' mother about the truck and whether her sons had guns in the house.

One of the teens admitted to his mother he had a pistol under his bed. A search warrant was then obtained to search the house.

During the search, officers found a loaded, nine millimeter handgun under one of the teen's bed. They also found an AR-15 rifle and Remington rifle, the Remington having been stolen during a 2013 home burglary. The other brother admitted the rifles were his.

In addition to the guns, 16 vehicle keys were found, including the stolen truck's key.

Both of the 17-year-olds were taken to juvenile detention. One is charged with auto theft, unlawful gun possession, aggravated assault and vehicle burglary. The other is charged with gun theft and unlawful gun possession.
