Uber upgraded its drivers with the Uber Beacon at the ride-sharing company's handout at Nissan Stadium.
The Beacon is designed to connect riders and drivers in a faster, safer way.
Nashville was chosen as one of the first cities try to the new Uber Beacon.
The new bluetooth device connects to the driver's windshield and allows riders to choose the color they want the device to flash, when the driver picks them up.
Uber said it hopes the device makes riders, especially women, feel safer when walking to their ride at night.
"Whether you're leaving the airport or leaving the bar late at night, every woman wants to get to their Uber as quickly as possible and for drivers who are doing dozens of trips a day every minute counts for them," said Evangeline George.
Miami and Denver were the only other cities trying out the device ahead of New Year's Eve.
Uber said they expect to roll out more Beacon devices in 2017.
