A bill that will support small business owners and help the unemployed find work faster has been sent to the Governor's desk.
The bill sponsored by Representative Andy Holt and Senator Mark Green worked to close loopholes in unemployment benefits.
The state currently only audits a small number of unemployment claims every month.
Under the proposal, every single unemployment claim will be audited to check for fraud.
Holt said the bill keeps people from "double dipping" in the system and strengthens laws to make Tennessee more business friendly.
