KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (AP) - The University of Tennessee, Knoxville, Symphony Orchestra will present the academic premiere of "Knoxville: Summer of 2015" next month.

The program is a musical sequel to Samuel Barber's "Knoxville: Summer of 1915," which was composed in 1947 and featured lyrics from James Agee's prose poem of a similar name.

The university says the concert is a collaboration of the School of Music and the Department of Theatre.

It will be presented at 7:30 p.m. Oct. 30 at the Tennessee Theater. Tickets are on sale at the box office or online at http://tennesseetheatre.com and http://ticketmaster.com .

"Knoxville: Summer of 2015" was written by Oak Ridge native Ellen Reid and librettist Royce Vavrek and commissioned by the New York-based Beth Morrison Projects and VisionIntoArt.
