The University of Tennessee's Chancellor has broken his silence more than a month after the school was hit with a massive sexual assault lawsuit.
In a posted statement, Chancellor Jimmy Cheek publicly acknowledged the sweeping lawsuit for the first time.
Although he couldn't address the specific allegation, Cheek insisted any assertation the University hasn’t take sexual assault seriously, simply wasn’t true.
Cheek also outlined steps U.T. has taken to improve response to reports of assault on campus.
