NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WTVF) — We all have one - and now - we can learn all about it! Vanderbilt University is holding its 2019 Brain Blast March 16 at the Nashville Public Library Downtown.

Vanderbilt PhD students spent the day stuffing bags for this year's event. Now, they want to stuff your brain full of knowledge.

"There’s never a boring day in the life of a neuroscientist," said Jacob Ruden, Neoscience PhD candidate at Vanderbilt University.

There will be educational games and activities and the chance to talk with members of Vanderbilt's Brain Institute.

"Four hours of activity for kids and their family to come find out about the brain ask questions and who knows maybe realize that they love to be a scientist when they grow up," said Suzana Herculano-Houzel with the Vanderbilt Brain Institute.

This free event runs from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. and is open to K through 8th graders and their families. There's free 90-minute parking with a validated ticket.
