NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WTVF) — Vanderbilt doctors and staff moved patients into the brand-new tenth floor of Monroe Carell Junior Children's Hospital at Vanderbilt.

Tuesday was move-in day at Monroe Carell Jr. The Chief of Staff put it this way. We've been building a house - while living in the house.

Children who need cardiac care in the intensive care unit and acute care will now all be together on one floor.

The floors are named for Ann Scott Carell; she would have been 85 years old. The Carell Sisters told us a lot of people made renovations possible.

The move onto the eleventh floor will be later this year. It will be a neo-natal intensive care unit as well as other acute patients.

Hospital officials are still making plans for the other two new floors.
