Police have asked the public’s help in identifying the occupants of a silver sedan involved in the fatal shooting of a Krispy Kreme driver.
The incident happened shortly before 2 a.m. Sunday outside a Mapco on Donelson Pike.
Officials with Metro Nashville Police said 61-year-old Al Baker was shot inside his delivery truck when a gunman fired multiple shots at him - for no apparent reason.
The suspect had just robbed the gas station at gunpoint moments earlier.
Police said the suspect fled on foot on Allen Road toward Patriot Way, where he got into the passenger side of the car, which may also have a spoiler.
The gunman was said to be 6-feet-tall and was wearing a blue hooded sweatshirt with NIKE in orange letters on the front, tan cargo pants, and white shoes.
The car was described as a silver sedan with front end damage – a bowed hood on the passenger side – with a sun roof and tinted windows.
Anyone with information was urged to contact Crime Stoppers at 615-742-7463. Callers can remain anonymous and qualify for a cash reward.
