A music video from a local production company has gained popularity online because of its tongue-in-cheek depiction of Nashville.
The video, “Welcome to Nashville,” highlights all the good and some of the bad qualities of the Music City.
The video has been viewed more than 6,200 times and been shared more than 100 times.
The male duo behind the production company, That's Classic, sung about each neighborhood and attraction in the city from Broadway’s classic honky-tonks to the city’s ever-growing traffic problems.
They made jokes throughout the song about each area with lines like, “Welcome to Nashville. We can’t pay our rent, that’s ok. We’ll find a way.”
The video was posted Sunday with the description - “A wild and wacky tour of Nashville.” Yet, many of the lyrics referring to the city’s growth and popularity were spot-on.
Popular website Thrillist has recently posted an article listing Nashville as the number one place to spend a weekend.
The article featured many of the attractions locals have come to know and love like well-known festivals and restaurant, saying “Nashville is rapidly becoming as synonymous with food as it is music -- hello hot chicken and BBQ! -- attracting as many celebrity chefs as musicians and plenty of opportunities for delicious collaborations.”
