Virus Commonly Mistaken For Allergies

Posted

Many Tennesseans are struggling to cope with spring allergies in full swing, but doctors say most people impacted are actually fighting a virus.

"Right now is a bad time for allergies because we are at the intersection where the tree pollen is coming down, but the grass pollen is going up," said Dr. Cosby Stone Jr. with Vanderbilt University Medical Center.

The virus is circulating throughout the nation. Doctors say the best way to find relief is to get tested by an allergy doctor.
