Visitation Held For Whites Creek Shooting Victim

Posted

Friends and family members of 23-year-old James Nevils paid their respects during his funeral visitation at the Revelation Funeral Home.

Nevils was shot and killed outside Whites Creek High School one week ago during a school basketball game.

His dad, James Nevils, said the family has had some time to mourn, but the loss hasn’t gotten any easier.

“Man, he was just like a normal kid. He played a lot of jokes on me. That's my baby, though…I miss him. I miss him so much, you know,” said Nevils.

Metro Police have arrested two brothers, 21-year-old Jamontae Davis and 18-year-old Kevonte Davis in the case. They were charged with criminal homicide charges for the shooting.

The visitation was scheduled for Friday from 1p.m. to 6 p.m. at Revelation Funeral Home. The funeral was set for Saturday 11:00 a.m. at Spruce St. Baptist Church.
