NASHVILLE, Tenn. – There has been no shortage of music during the CMA Music Fest, but one show Sunday afternoon was using music to shine a light on a problem.
The event was called "Voices for the Missing," benefiting the CUE Center for Missing Persons.
Autographed instruments, records, and lyrics were auctioned off to raise money to help the organization send volunteers to places where teams have been needed to search and finding missing people.
"The amount of people that disappear every day is equivalent to a plane and a half falling out of the sky,” said Heather Cohen, Tennessee State Coordinator. “It's in the thousands of how many people go missing across the country every day."
Several country artists also helped at the event. Vince Gill, Amy Grant, Little Big Town, and other Grand Ole Opry members signed a guitar that was auctioned off.
