NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WTVF) — Hands On Nashville is calling on volunteers to help move teachers back into Robert Churchwell Museum Magnet School after it was damaged in the March tornado.

The tornado damaged the school's 4th grade wing. Since then, staff had been relocated to Park Elementary for the rest of the school year.

Volunteers are needed this week to help teachers move back into their classrooms. They'll also help with moving around instruments that are in the school's library.

Volunteer opportunities are available July 15-17.

Volunteers will need to follow Metro's COVID-19 safety guidelines. That includes bringing your own face mask and agreeing to practice social distancing whenever possible. Hands On Nashville also recommends that anyone age 65 and older, or with a compromised immune system, should not take part.
