NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WTVF) — Kentucky Governor Matt Bevin criticized what he called a national trend of school districts canceling classes due to extreme cold temperatures.
In an interview with WHAS radio this week, Gov. Bevin said, "There's no ice going with it or any snow. I mean, what happens to America? We're getting soft, Terry. We're getting soft."
Bevin later said he was being "slightly facetious" but added he believes the closures set a bad precedent for youth.
