Officers with the Metro Nashville Police Department arrested a 61-year-old man and charged him in a West End bank robbery.
Police said William Green robbed Simmons First National Bank's West End location at 1720 West End Avenue at 9:30 Monday morning.
Bank employees told police Green passed them a money demand note then took the money.
He was spotted on a bicycle on the 1300 block of 11th Avenue South.
Green surrendered and was arrested without incident. The money stolen was recovered.
He registered as an ex-con for robbery in April 2015, and was on federal probation for a 2012 Nashville bank robbery.
