Witness Saw Waffle House Suspect Run From Scene

ANTIOCH, Tenn. - A local man said he saw Travis Reinking as he ran from the Waffle House following the deadly mass shooting that left four people dead.

In fact, that man, Stephen Dickerson, said he almost hit Reinking with his car. Reinking has been on the run, wanted in the four murders that happened early Sunday morning.

Dickerson said Reinking looked scared, and he thought he might be drunk; however, when Dickerson woke up later in the morning and saw the news, he said he wishes he would've done something more.

“I hate to say this, but knowing what I know, I kinda wish that I didn't hit my brakes, you know, cause maybe that would've been able to help the cops stop this guy, you know?” Dickerson said. “Maybe if I would've hit him, we would've been able to catch him.”

Dickerson added that he would never wish harm upon anybody, but in this situation, he wishes he could've done more to bring this to an end.
