CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. – A woman has been arrested for allegedly falsely reporting an armed robbery.
Officials said they took 29-year-old Angel Brown into custody and charged her with false reports.
Police responded to a robbery reported in the 1300 block of Fort Campbell Boulevard at Boost Mobile around 4:24 p.m. Wednesday.
The employee, identified as Brown, gave authorities information about an unknown black male who allegedly pointed a gun at her chest and demanded the deposit bag.
Brown also told officers which direction the alleged suspect fled in.
According to reports, multiple emergency crews were used, as well as detectives, K-9, patrol, and EMS.
After an investigation, officials discovered the robbery was a false report that was made to conceal the theft of money from the business.
Officials said Brown refused to give a statement on the missing money.
She was lodged in the Montgomery County Jail on a $10,000 bond.
