Woman Assaulted By Stranger At Franklin Apt. Complex

A Franklin woman reported being attacked at her apartment complex while trying to lock her apartment door.

The incident happened on Tuesday at a complex on Toll House Circle at 8:40 a.m.

She told Franklin Police officers a stranger physically assaulted her while in the breezeway outside of her apartment. She fought back and was able to escape.

However, she was the second woman to report suspicious in the area. On April 10, was walking her dog around 9 p.m. at the condominium complex in the 1100 block of Downs Boulevard when she said a man began approaching her.

Sensing danger, the woman ran back to her condo, and the man began chasing behind. He repeatedly rang the doorbell after the woman locked herself inside. She was not injured.

Both women report the suspect in their incident as either a man in his 30s, with a slender build. The victim in the Toll House Circle incident reports that the suspect had a strong, musty odor.

Detectives were working to determine if the suspect may be one of the homeless men suspected of camping in a wooded area at the dead end of Vintage Grove Lane.

Franklin Police have stepped up patrols in the areas of both incidents, and on the walking trail.

They asked aea residents with outside security cameras to review their videos for anything that might help to identify a suspect. Anyone with information was asked to call police at 615-794-2513.
