MT. JULIET (WTVF) — A 34-year-old woman was killed in a crash when the car she was driving went off the road and hit a tree.
The crash happened in on Guill Road in Mt. Juliet early Wednesday morning, shutting the road down until about 6 a.m.
The driver has been identified by the Tennessee Highway Patrol as Jessica Smartt of Mt. Juliet.
According to the crash report, Smartt was not wearing a seat belt.
Troopers are still investigating what caused the crash, but have not determined if weather was a factor.
